Other Marijuana Initiatives On This Years Ballot

In addition to Florida, three other states had legislation on this years ballot. Those were Alaska, Oregon and Washington.

Alaska: Ballot Measure 2- The measure will allow people age 21 and older to possess up to one ounce of marijuana and up to six plants. It will also make the manufacture, sale and possession of marijuana paraphernalia legal.
Result: Approved 52.15% to 47.85%

Oregon: Measure 91-The measure will legalize recreational marijuana for people ages 21 and older, allowing adults over this age to possess up to eight ounces of "dried" marijuana and up to four plants. Additionally, the measure tasks the Oregon Liquor Control Commission with regulating sales of the drug.
Result: Approved 55.31% to 44.69%

Washington: Advisory Vote #8- The measure asks voters whether the Washington State Legislature should repeal or maintain the elimination of agricultural tax preferences for various aspects of the marijuana industry. A yes vote supported the repeal of the legislature’s elimination of the agricultural tax preferences. A no vote supported maintaining the legislature’s elimination of the tax preferences.
Result: Rejected 53.3% to 46.7%
